The Sony WH-XB900N headphones are priced in India at Rs 16,990. It is part of the company’s range of ‘extra bass’ audio devices.

The Sony WH-XB900N features 40mm neodymium drivers and a frequency range of 2Hz to 20,000Hz. The highlight of the device is a noise cancellation feature.

The new headphones come with support for advanced audio codecs such as aptX HD and LDAC. A touch-sensitive ear cup (right) allows you to control music and adjust the volume.

The built-in battery promises up to 30 hours of battery life (with noise cancellation activated). Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2 (with a range of 10m), NFC, and USB Type-C port (for charging).

The Sony WH-XB900N headphones support both Alexa and Google Assistant. The Sony Headphones Connect app (compatible with both Android and iOS) allows you to choose between the two AI assistants. This can be activated by holding the noise-canceling button.

The lightweight headphones (only 254g) can also be used as wired headphones. A 1.2m stereo cable comes bundled in the box. The headphones can be folded for easier storage.

Additionally, a Quick Attention feature lets you have a quick conversation without taking the headphones off. Simply placing your palm over the right ear cup reduces the volume of music and lets you hear the sound around you.
