A new Vivo device with the model number V1936AL (believed to be a Vivo iQoo Neo variant) has been spotted on TENAA (Chinese Certification Authority).

However, there is no information about the price and launch date as yet.

As per recent listings and rumors, the new upcoming smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 855 Plus processor along with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The new Vivo iQoo Neo variant will sport a 6.4-inch display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and waterdrop notch.

The upcoming smartphone is said to be backed by a 4,420mAh battery. It will run the Android 9 Pie operating system.

In terms of design, the new variant will look similar to the original Vivo iQoo Neo and the Snapdragon 855-powered edition.

The original handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with Adreno 630 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, and 128GB internal storage.

The 4,500mAh battery comes with 22.5W fast charge support. The 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display comes with Full-HD+ resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. It also sports an in-display fingerprint sensor.

In terms of optics, the Vivo iQoo Neo sports a triple camera setup on the back. It uses a 12-megapixel primary sensor (with dual-pixel tech, f/1.79 aperture), an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens (f/2.2 aperture), and a 2-megapixel sensor (f/2.4 aperture).

For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports a 12-megapixel front camera with dual-pixel technology and an f/2.0 aperture. It supports AI beautification and face unlock features.

Vivo also launched another iQoo Neo variant in China with the Snapdragon 855 SoC and 33W fast charging.

Conclusion

Vivo is also said to move away from Funtouch OS (runs on Vivo-branded smartphones) to Jovi OS (new custom skin).

The new skin is said to be built around the Jovi assistant (comes preloaded on Vivo devices). As of now, there is no information about its launch date and key features.
