Recently, the Vivo launched its S1 Pro smartphone in Russia as a V17 model. Now, the new handset is coming to India (with few modifications).
Vivo has started sending invites for a V-Series launch event in India on December 9. As of now, there is no information about its price.
In Russia, the Vivo V17 is priced in Russia at RUB 22,990 (approx Rs 25,900). It comes in two color options – Cloudy Blue and Blue Fog in Russia.
The new Vivo S1 Pro is priced in the Philippines at PHP 15,999 (approx Rs 22,500). It comes in Fancy Sky and Knight Black color options.
The original Vivo S1 Pro model was launched in China at CNY 2,698 (approx Rs 27,500).

The new smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and 8GB RAM. It is backed by a 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
In terms of optics, the Vivo V17 sports the diamond-shaped quad-camera setup on the back. The Indian variant is tipped to feature an L-shaped quad-camera setup.
It uses a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2, 108-degree field of view), a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4), and a 2MP macro camera (f/2.4).
For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB).

The Vivo V17 runs the Android 9 Pie operating system with Funtouch OS 9.2 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, and USB Type-C port.
The dual-SIM smartphone will feature a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED FullView display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Vivo V17 sports a waterdrop-style display notch. However, the Indian variant is tipped to come with a hole-punch display.
In terms of dimensions, the new smartphone measures 159.25 x 75.19 x 8.68mm and weighs 186.7 grams. It sports gradient finish.
Sensors on the device include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.
The Vivo V17 Pro was launched in India at Rs 29,990. It is now available at Rs 27,990. It sports a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED Full-HD+ display comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 91.65 percent screen-to-body ratio.
The Vivo V17 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor along with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It is backed by a 4,100mAh battery.
The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone features a curved rear panel with a subtle gradient effect. It will be available in Glacier Blue and Midnight Ocean color options.
On the back, the AI-powered quad rear camera setup uses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX 582 primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture), 8-megapixel wide-angle lens (f/2.2 aperture), a 13-megapixel telephoto lens (2x optical zoom, 10X digital zoom, f/2.5 aperture), and a 2-megapixel depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture). Camera features include a Super Macro mode and an AI Super Night mode.
For selfies and video calling, the Vivo V17 Pro sports a dual selfie camera module with the pop-up mechanism. It includes a 32-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens (105-degree field of view).
