The Xiaomi Mi A3 was launched in India at Rs 12,999 and Rs 15,999 for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage models, respectively.

The 4GB RAM storage variant is now available for Rs 11,999. Whereas the 6GB RAM storage model costs Rs 14,999.

The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor along with Adreno 610 GPU and 4GB/ 6GB LPDDR4X RAM. The 64GB/ 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card.

In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Mi A3 sports a triple camera setup on the back. It combines a 48-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.79 aperture) with an 8-megapixel secondary sensor (118-degree wide-angle lens, f/1.79 aperture) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 runs Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box (as part of Android One program). It will support Google Assistant, Google Photos, Google Lens, Digital Wellbeing tools, etc. Users will also get security updates for three years and will be among the first phones to receive Android Q.

The new handset sports a P2i coating for splash resistance. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The new smartphone is the successor of the company’s Xiaomi Mi A2 (launched in India back in August last year). It comes with similar design and features as the recently launched Mi CC9e smartphone (priced in China at CNY 1,299).
