The Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition is priced in India at Rs 1,299 (the Mi Band 2 was launched at Rs 1,999). It will be first available on Mi.com, and Mi Home offline stores from September 18. The smart band will also be sold on Myntra, Flipkart, and Amazon from September 20.

The Mi Band HRX Edition sports a similar design as the Mi Band 2 (with additional HRX logo on the strap). It sports a 0.42-inch OLED display with scratch-resistant glass that shows the time, steps, distance covered, and calories burnt. It comes with an improved pedometer and IP67 certification (splash resistant). The wearable is made for monitoring fitness and tracking sleep. However, it does not have a heart rate sensor like the regular Mi Band 2.

The new Mi Band HRX Edition comes with 23 days of battery life. The new smart band is quite light at only 7g (without the rubber strap). The slim device is accompanied with a hypoallergenic silicone band. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0. The smart band sends calls and notification alerts. You can also unlock your paired Android smartphone (Android 5.0 or above) without a passcode or fingerprint. It also reminds you to take short walks and water breaks at regular intervals.
