The new smart home device will offer features like real-time weather updates, multimedia streaming, and video calling features.
The Xiaomi XiaoAI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 will take on the likes of Google Nest Hub and Amazon Echo Show 8.
The new smart home device is compatible with Android and iOS devices. It comes with three subwoofers and a 50.8mm, 10W driver along with DTS audio tuning.

The Xiaomi XiaoAI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 features an 8.0-inch multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. There are also physical keys to adjust the volume.
The smart home device sports the company’s proprietary far-field voice-recognition technology. The display features a 50.8mm 10W driver with three subwoofers and DTS audio tuning.
The XiaoAI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 is compatible with both Android (4.4 or higher) and iOS (9.0 or higher). Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth v5.0.
The touchscreen speaker also works with a range of over-the-top (OTT) platforms (Douyin, iQiyi, Youku, etc). The company claims that it will offer kids-focused content.
Users will be able to make video calls via the front-facing camera. The new device can also be used as a digital photo frame.
Additionally, the XiaoAI digital assistant performs tasks using voice commands. It can also be used as a hub to control various smart devices. Users can also set reminders and alarms.

The Xiaomi XiaoAI Touchscreen Speaker Pro 8 is priced at CNY 499 (approx Rs 5,100). It will be available in China from December 18.
As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.
