Micromax’s YU is back with a new smartphone, the Yu Yureka Black. The company had been teasing the new handset on its social media channels for a while with taglines such as “Yureka is Back with Black” and “Break rules. Priced at Rs 8,999, the new handset will face quite a competition in this segment from the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 4, Coolpad Note 5 Lite, Moto G4 Play, and Lenovo K6 Power. It will be exclusively available via Flipkart from 6th June.
Yu Yureka Black Design
The new smartphone sports a metal unibody design. As the name suggests, it comes in glossy Black color. It features a mostly symmetrical design. The speaker grill is placed on the bottom end, while the rear camera and flash are placed in the top-centre of the back panel. Also, antenna bands are visible across the top and bottom edges of the smartphone. The shiny back is likely to attract a lot of fingerprints.

The Yu Yureka Black comes with pretty decent specs. The combination of 4GB RAM and Snapdragon 430 chipset along with Adreno 505 GPU can be expected to take care of most performance needs. However, we will have to see how this device performs in real-world situations. The Yu Yureka Black is one of the few smartphones to offer 4GB RAM in this price segment, which shall add to its appeal. The 5-inch display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with 2.5D curved edges.
