Fujifilm has launched a new mid-range mirrorless camera. The Fujifilm X-E3 is essentially a successor to the Fujifilm X-E2 camera. It is the company’s smallest camera with a viewfinder. The Fujifilm X-E3 mirrorless camera is priced at $900 (approx Rs 57,600). It will be available in September. The camera kit with an 18-55mm f/2.8-4 lens is available at $1,300 (approx Rs 83,200). You can also get a camera kit with an XF23mm f/2.0 prime lens at $1,150 (Rs 73,500).
The company also announced the XF 80mm f/2.8 1:1 macro lens, which offers optical image stabilization and weather resistance at a price of around $2,000.
The Fujifilm X-E3 features a 24.3-megapixel X-Trans III sensor, similar to other X-models like the X-Pro2. The new camera uses a 325-point autofocus system and improved subject tracking with a new image recognition algorithm.
The mirrorless camera lets you record 4K resolution videos at 30fps. The company claims that the new camera utilizes the X-Processor Pro for color reproduction in both stills and 4K movies.

The new Fujifilm X-E3 model follows a similar design as the previous model. However, it is smaller and lighter. You also get additional features like a new front control wheel and a rear, joystick-like lever to control the focus region. It comes in Black and Silver color options.
Connectivity options include an HDMI port and microphone input. The Fujifilm X-E3 is the first X Series model to feature Bluetooth connectivity. You can easily pair the new camera with a smartphone to transfer pictures on-the-go.
The Fujifilm X-E3 features a 3-inch touchscreen display, same as the X-T2. It lets you control focus and access menu settings without using physical buttons. The 2.36-million dot display also enables various gesture controls like flick and pinch zoom.
The Fujifilm X-E3 mirrorless camera is a nice improvement over its predecessor. It offers decent capabilities in a compact form. However, seasoned photographers might miss the physical buttons for controlling ISO and exposure modes. Also, there’s no port for the headphone.
