Moto G4 Hands On Review
We spent some time with the Moto G4 and here is our hands on review of the phone:
On aesthetics front, it features a removable plastic rear panel which has a pattern on it for better grip. It also comes with water repellent nano-coating.
On the front, it features a 5.5-inch full HD display with on-screen navigation buttons. Below the display, there is primary mic.
Above the display, there is earpiece along with front camera and sensors. The earpiece also doubles up as speaker. The audio quality from speaker is loud and clear.
Left edge is clean and power button and volume rockers are placed on the right edge.
Bottom edge of the phone houses charging port.
3.5mm audio jack is located on the top edge.
On the rear of the phone, there is a 13 mega pixel primary camera along with LED flash, Motorola branding and secondary mic for noise cancellation. The rear panel is removable and gives access to two SIM card slots and a microSD card slot. The 3000mAh battery of the phone is non removable.
Overall build quality of the phone is good. It is a light weight phone with 155 grams of weight. Despite featuring a large display, it doesn’t feel very heavy to hold.
It features a 5.5-inch Full HD Display with 1080p resolution. The display is sharp and bright and has good viewing angles. The touch experience over the screen is also very smooth.
The Moto G4 comes with a 13 mega pixel primary camera with dual LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera.
The camera app launches quickly and is very clean. The quality of images taken with both front and rear cameras is just average. The rear camera still does a decent job but the images taken with the front camera are not very impressive and have graininess. Yet we cannot complain as this phone is already offering too much for the price. Overall camera experience is decent for a phone in this price segment.

The gaming performance of the phone is very impressive and we did not face any noticeable lag or heating issues. It also handles multitasking with ease. Overall performance of the phone is great.
On software front, it runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The software is smooth and responsive and comes with several features like Pick up the phone to stop it from ringing, Flip the phone for do not disturb mode and Moto Display that shows notifications every time you pick up the phone.
It supports USB OTG which means you can watch movies and videos directly on the phone using pendrive, without transferring them.
