Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 Spotted On GFXBench: Leaked Images, Specifications & Features

Samsung’s upcoming smartphone- Galaxy J3 2017 has been a subject of numerous leaks lately. Last week, a press image of the phone was spotted making rounds over the internet. Now the device has surfaced on GFXBench. The listing reveals some of the key specifications and features of the phone.

As per the GFXBench listing, the Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 with model number SM-J327, will pack a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with Adreno 308GPU. It will feature a 5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. The phone will house 16GB of internal memory (10GB user available) and support expandable storage via microSD card. On the camera front, the phone will sport a 5 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 mega pixel front camera.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 2017 was also spotted on Indian import-export website called Zauba. As per Zauba listing, the phone will carry a price tag of Rs. 6,800. Needless to say that this price is not indicative of the actual price tag. The actual pricing of the Galaxy J3 2017 may be different from what Zauba listing says. Also, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt since Samsung has not officially confirmed it yet.

Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 was launched in India earlier this year, in March 2016. Now Samsung seems to be working on its successor, called the Samsung Galaxy J3 2017. Leakster @evleaks has posted a press image of the Galaxy J3 2017 with model number SM-J327P which looks similar to the 2016 version. Below the display, it features a home button sandwiched between two touch capacitive buttons.

The Galaxy J3 2017 was also spotted on GFXBench revealing its key specifications and features. As per the GFXBench listing, the Galaxy J3 2017 will pack a Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) chipset paired with either 1.5GB or 2GB of RAM. On software front, it will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It is also expected to come with 4G VoLTE support.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 2016, on the other hand, packs a 1.5GHz quad-core processor paired with Mali 400MP GPU. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, it features a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED (1280×720 pixels resolution) display. The phone houses 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory with expandable support via microSD card. Optics include an 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera. Backed up by a 2600mAh battery, it offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as connectivity options.
