The Apple Watch Series 6 is priced in India at Rs 40,900 for the GPS variant. The Apple Watch Series 6 (GPS + Cellular) model comes with a starting price of Rs 49,900.

Both models come in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The company is yet to reveal the availability details of the new smartwatch.

Additionally, the company has launched the Apple Watch SE. While the price of the GPS model starts at Rs 29,900, the GPS + Cellular model comes with a starting price of Rs 33,900.

Apple claims that the new smartwatch offers faster performance, better water resistance, and enhanced wireless connectivity. It is said to come with up to 18 hours of battery life.

The Apple Watch Series 6 is powered by a new Apple S6 SiP (system in package). It also comes with a W3 wireless chip, an ultra-wideband (UWB) technology, and the U1 chip (allows connectivity using radio waves in a short-range).

The new smartwatch comes with mental health tracking features (to detect panic attacks and stress levels). The sleep tracking feature uses a combination of accelerometer data and software tweaks available through watchOS 7.

The electrical heart sensor on the wearable records heartbeat and rhythm. It can detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) and offer an electrocardiogram (ECG) report.

The Apple Watch Series 6 also measures blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). The new health sensor uses infrared light and photodiodes to detect the color of blood under the skin to calculate blood oxygen saturation.

The new smartwatch will offer an alert if your blood oxygen levels drop below the reference figure between 95 and 100 percent.

Design

The Apple Watch Series 6 comes in 40mm and 44mm case options. Both feature a ceramic and sapphire crystal back finish and come in aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and ceramic materials.

The Always-on Retina display comes with a refresh rate of up to 60Hz and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. It also features an always-on altimeter.

While the 40mm Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a resolution of 324 x 394 pixels, the 44mm variant comes with a resolution of 368 x 448 pixels.

The Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a Blue, Gold, Silver, and Space Grey color case options. There is also a stainless steel Graphite model and a (Product)RED model with matching bands.

Users can also opt for a new Titanium finish in Natural Titanium and Space Black color options. The company also unveiled its new Solo Loop and Leather Link bands.

Apple Watch SE

The new smartwatch also comes with the same accelerometer, gyroscope, and always-on altimeter as the Apple Watch Series 6 model.

The Apple Watch SE is powered by the Apple S5 SiP. It also comes with the W3 wireless chip. The Retina display comes with a 1000 nits peak brightness.

The new wearable comes with an optical heart rate monitor that offers irregular heart rhythm notification and high/ low heart rate notifications.

The Apple Watch SE is said to last up to 18 hours of battery life. It will come in 40mm and 44mm cases. Users can choose from Gold, Silver, and Space Gray aluminum finishes.

Additional features include Fall detection, emergency SOS, and international emergency calling.
