The Asus ROG G701 is powered by new Intel 7th generation (Kaby Lake) Intel Core i7 7820HK unlocked processor and up to 64GB DDR4 2800MHz DRAM. The graphics are powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with up to 8GB of GDDR5X video memory. The powerful machine is great for virtual-reality (VR) and detailed gaming visuals. The new gaming laptop comes with 256GB SSD storage or 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage with HyperDrive RAID 0 support. It is backed by a 93WHrs 6 Cells battery.

The Asus ROG G701 sports a 17.3-inch wide-viewing-angle display with 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), 100 percent NTSC color output, and 60Hz refresh rate frequency. You can also choose a 17.3-inch full-HD display with 72 percent NTSC color output and 120Hz refresh rate. The laptop uses NVIDIA G-Sync technology to synchronize the display’s refresh rate with NVIDIA GeForce graphics card’s frame rate.

The Asus ROG G701 features a premium Bio-armour design. The company claims that the ROG G701 is one of the most ergonomically designed laptops. The laptop is only 33.5mm thick. It features an anti-ghosting keyboard with 30-Key Rollover technology (registers all your keystrokes), larger space bar and isolated keys. The ‘C Part’ asymmetric shaped keyboard features a palm rest layout. It comes in two color schemes – Armor Titanium and Plasma Copper.

Connectivity options on the gaming laptop include two USB 3.0 ports, a Thunderbolt 3 port (USB Type-C 3.1), one Gen 2 USB 3.1 Type-C port, one RJ45 LAN port, one HDMI port, 2-in-1 card reader, one mini Display Port, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, and a 3.5mm headphone jack port.

The gaming laptop features built-in speakers with ESS Audio DAC technology. The Trinity Display Technology with 4K2K output allows you to add three displays simultaneously, using HDMI, Thunderbolt and mini Display connectors.

Additionally, the Asus ROG G701 comes with a ROG gaming center dedicated button. It allows you to access ROG utilities, apps, and tools.
