Asus ROG Moba 5 Series Launched With AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU

The new Asus ROG Moba 5 series of gaming laptops include the ROG Moba 5 and the Moba 5 Plus with a 15.6-inch display and a 17.3-inch display, respectively.

Both laptops sport the latest AMD Ryzen processors and Nvidia graphics. Additional features include RGB lighting on the chassis and the keyboard.

The Asus ROG Moba 5 series comes with almost bezel-less displays. Let’s take a closer look:

The new gaming laptops are powered by an octa-core AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU (with 8GB DDR GDDR6 VRAM).

The Asus ROG Moba 5 comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD storage. Whereas the ROG Moba 5 Plus comes with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

The Asus ROG Moba 5 series is backed by a 90Wh battery that supports USB Type-C charging. Asus has added high-density fins for better heat dissipation

Also, the Glacier Cooling 2.0 (translated) technology uses two fans and six heat pipes. There is also a liquid metal from Thermal Grizzly as the thermal compound between the CPU and heatsink.

The Asus ROG Moba 5 Series features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The RGB lighting can be controlled via Aura Sync software.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A port, a headphone jack, a USB 3.2 Type-C port with PD charging support, an HDMI 2.0b port, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.

The Asus ROG Moba 5 features a 15.6-inch IPS display with full-HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 300Hz refresh rate.

The Asus ROG Moba 5 Plus sports a 17.3-inch IPS display with full-HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 300Hz refresh rate.

Both models come with a 3ms response time and 100 percent sRGB coverage. While the ROG Moba 5 weighs 2.3kg, the ROG Moba 5 Plus weighs 3kg.

Price and Availability

The Asus ROG Moba 5 is priced at CNY 12,999 (approx Rs 1,46 lakh). Whereas the Asus ROG Moba 5 Plus comes at CNY 14,999 (approx Rs 1,69 lakh).

Both gaming laptops will be available in China from January 26. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price tag and launch date.
