Taiwanese multinational company Asus launched its Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 recently in India on 23rd April 2018. Only 10 days after its launch, the company rolled out the smartphone’s first major update. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 update is equipped with Face Recognition feature, improvements in the fingerprint sensor, camera, gyroscope, and battery.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 update also has the Android security patch for April 2018.

In the new Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 update, there is a vast improvement in the response speed of the fingerprint reader. The front and rear cameras have been optimized. The optimization has happened in terms of color correction, low light photography etc.

The ‘ZenUI’ also changes to ‘ZenFone’ on the system update screen. Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 update also optimizes the battery during standby. The Android security patch is also in the update.

The latest Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 update will be rolled out via OTA. The smartphone will be notified about it in a few days. It can be updated manually by going to Settings–System–System updates. It is recommended that users factory reset the phone before downloading the update.

To recall, Asus ZenFone Max M1 is built with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display. It has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The company claims that it has a contrast of 1,500:1 with a brightness of 450 nits. The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 636 SoC. It includes an Adreno 509 GPU. The device will run Android 8.1 Oreo. In the optics department, the smartphone has a dual-camera setup. The setup includes a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor. In the battery category, it is powered by a humongous 5,000 mAh battery pack. It supports fast charging. In the connectivity department, the smartphone has dual-SIM slots. At least one slot supports 4G VoLTE. There is a microSD card slot too.

The smartphone is available in three variants– 3GB RAM + 32GB storage for Rs. 10,999, 4GB RAM + 64Gb storage for Rs.12,999 and 6 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for Rs. 14,999. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 has been launched in two colors– Deep sea black and Meteor silver. An accessory called MaxBox is also provided with the phone. The smartphone also boosts speaker volume two-fold.
