The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is priced in India at Rs 12,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB internal storage variant. While the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant costs Rs 14,999, the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant comes with a price tag of Rs 16,999.

On the other hand, the Asus ZenFone Max M2 is priced in India at Rs 9,999 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant comes with a price tag of Rs 11,999. The company is also offering a complete mobile protection plan (includes theft insurance and damage insurance worth Rs 1,299) at just Rs 99.

The new handset sports a 6.26-inch full-HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with 3GB/ 4GB/ 6GB RAM and 32GB/ 64GB internal storage.

The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It comes pre-loaded apps with social media apps such as Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger. Connectivity options include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro-USB port.

The dual-SIM dual-VoLTE standby smartphone weighs 175g. It sports a scratch and drops resistant build. Security options include a fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature. It comes in two color options – Blue and Titanium.

In terms of optics, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 12-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 13-megapixel front camera with a LED flash. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery (similar to the Max Pro M1).

UPDATE:

A new OTA update brings AI Scene Detection feature to the handset. Whenever you point a camera to the subject, the smartphone automatically switches to a recommended preset (such as nature mode, food mode, etc).

You can check for the new update from Settings > System category. The firmware also brings an upgraded Touch FW, improved front camera quality, and an improved system power consumption.
