Fujifilm X-Pro3 With Retro-Style Design, Flippable LCD Monitor Launched in India

Price and Availability

Price$1,799 (approx Rs 1,27,600)

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 is priced in India at Rs 1,55,999. It is now available across the country.

The Duratect Silver and Duratect Black version will be available next month (January 2020) with a price tag of Rs 1,73,999.

In the US, the Fujifilm X-Pro3 was launched at $1,799 (approx Rs 1,27,600) for the regular Black color option.

The DR Black and DR Silver color variants come with a price tag of $1,999 (roughly Rs. 1,41,800).

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 sports a back-illuminated 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor. It is powered by the X-Processor 4 image-processing engine.

The Advanced Hybrid Viewfinder can be enabled as an optical viewfinder (OVF) or an electronic viewfinder (EVF).

The X-Pro3 supports up to 4K video recording with a 30fps frame rate. Additional features include HDR Shooting and Multiple Exposure. Fujifilm has also added a Classic Neg mode along with the Film Simulation mode.

In terms of connectivity, the mirrorless camera comes with Bluetooth, a USB Type-C port, and a 2.5mm jack. It also includes two UHS-II SD card slots.

Design

The new mirrorless camera features a retro design (similar to the classic film cameras). It features a corrosion-resistant titanium exterior and a magnesium-alloy interior.

Fujifilm claims that the weather-resistant body is sealed in 70 places. It is capable of operating at temperatures as low as minus 10-degree Celsius.

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 comes in three color options – Black, DR Black, and DR Silver. Fujifilm is offering an optional DuraTech surface-hardening coating (for scratch resistance) in DR Black and DR Silver finish.

The 1.28-inch LCD display can be flipped around 180 degrees. It also comes with a dedicated postage-stamp-sized secondary screen.

The tiny can be set in a ‘Classic’ mode to display the selected Film Simulation mode. The ‘Standard’ mode shows the current shutter speed, aperture, and other shooting settings.

Instead of a four-way controller set on the X-Pro, the new camera features distinct buttons to select appropriate settings. ISO and shutter speed are on the top.

Conclusion

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 was initially announced in October this year. It comes with the classic retro design of X-Pro2 and an improved image processor.
