The Huawei Nova 5z is priced in China at CNY 1,599 (approx Rs 16,000) for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs CNY 1,799 (approx Rs 18,000).

As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

The Huawei Nova 5z is powered by a 7nm octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor. It is touted to deliver 80 percent improved CPU performance over the previous Kirin chipset.

The new handset comes preloaded with Huawei’s Ark Compiler to enhance app performance. It also comes with up to 8GB RAM.

The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB). The 4,000mAh battery supports standard 10v/2A charging.


On the back, the Huawei Nova 5z sports a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and an 8MP wide-angle lens. It also uses two 2MP sensors for macro photography and depth sensing.

For selfies and video calling, the new smartphone sports a 32MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an AI Beauty feature. It is placed in a display hole.

The Huawei Nova 5z runs the Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.1 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.26-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and DCI-P3 wide color gamut.

In terms of dimensions, the Huawei Nova 5z measures 156.1 x 73.9 x 8.3mm and weighs 178 grams. It comes in Black, Blue, and Green color options (with gradient back finish).

A fingerprint sensor is placed at the back. Other sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

The Huawei Nova 5i Pro was launched in China with a price tag of CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 22,000). It features a 6.26-inch IPS display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, DCI-P3 color gamut, and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core Kirin 810 processor along with 6GB/ 8GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB internal storage. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.

The Huawei Nova 5i Pro sports a quad-camera setup on the back. It combines a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) with an 8MP secondary sensor (super-wide-angle lens), 2MP tertiary sensor (macro lens), and a 2MP depth sensor.

For selfies and video calling, the smartphone sports a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. It supports AI beauty mode and an HDR feature.
