The Garmin Fenix 5X Plus is priced in India at Rs 79,990. The multi-sport watch will be available via online channels (including Garmin store, Amazon, Flipkart, and Paytm Mall) and selected offline stores (including Chrome, Helios – The Watch Store, Just in Time, and Reliance Digital).

The Garmin Fenix 5X Plus features a scratch-resistant sapphire lens. The ‘Chroma Display’ comes with LED backlighting for better readability. The company claims that the new wearable can last up to 18 days in smartwatch mode, and 11 hours with GPS/ music enabled. Additionally, an UltraTrac power-saver mode can extend battery life up to 64 hours.

The fitness-focused smartwatch comes with an inbuilt GPS. However, the highlight of the device is a wrist-based ‘Pulse Ox’ sensor that tracks blood oxygen saturation at higher altitudes. The fitness data is automatically uploaded to connected device via Garmin Connect. The smartwatch also comes with support for smart notifications. Additionally, users can personalize the device with apps.

The inbuilt music storage allows you to store up to 500 songs. You can also download offline playlists from select music streaming services (including iHeartradio and Deezer) or transfer music directly from a PC.

The new smartwatch also includes Galileo tracking to find your location, if the GPS fails. Additionally, the company has added Trendline routing feature that uses Garmin Connect data to enable users to find the best trails and running routes based on miles logged by other Garmin users.

The fitness-focused smartwatch was globally announced in June this year, alongside the Fenix 5 Plus and Fenix 5S Plus. It is meant for off-the-grid and in extreme environments. The music storage is an ideal feature and allows users to leave their smartphones back at home.

Recently, the Garmin launched its Vivoactive 3 Music GPS smartwatch with integrated music in India at Rs 25,990. It comes with features like a heart rate monitor, GPS, contactless payments through Garmin Pay, 7 days of battery life, a swim-safe build, and access to Garmin Connect IQ app store. Users can also customize widgets, free watch faces, data fields, and apps.
