Garmin has launched five new smartwatch models in its Forerunner range. This includes the entry-level devices (Forerunner 45/45S) and the mid-range 245/245 Music models. The high-end Forerunner 945 is aimed at professional runners and sports a training load focus feature. The Garmin Forerunner 45 and 45S.come with a starting price of $199. While the Forerunner 245 costs $299, the Forerunner Music variant comes with a price tag of $349. On the other hand, the Forerunner 945 Tri-bundle is priced at $599. The Forerunner 945 Tri-bundle will be available for $749.
The new wearables are available for purchase via the Garmin’s site. However, the Garmin Forerunner 45 series will be launched later this year.

The Garmin Forerunner 45 and 45S come with always-on displays. While the Forerunner 45 comes in a 42mm casing, the 45S features a 39mm casing. Both devices offer 13 hours of battery in GPS mode or one week in smartwatch mode.
Garmin has added core features like GPS, heart rate tracking, and accelerometer. There is also a Garmin Coach workouts for running and cycling. Users will be also able to track yoga, elliptical, strength training and even sleep cycles.

Garmin Forerunner 245 and 245 Music

Apart from the core tracking functions, the Garmin Forerunner 245 and 245 Music come with more running specified features. This includes dynamic running tracking and a pulse oximeter. The waterproof devices also come with swimming profiles.
The Forerunner 245 series comes with a 42mm casing. It promises the seven-day battery life in smartwatch mode, 24 hours in GPS mode, and 6 hours with music and GPS use. The 245 Music variant comes with onboard storage for music and playback capabilities.

Garmin Forerunner 945

The Garmin Forerunner 945 is aimed at professional runners. It features a training load focus feature that sorts out the workout data in categories (based on intensity). Additional features include onboard maps support and an optional triathlon bundle (with extra watch bands and a quick release kit).
The new smartwatch comes with NFC for Garmin Pay support. It also comes with the music storage from the 245 Music and longer battery life (two weeks in smartwatch mode, 36 hours in GPS mode, and 10 hours of music and GPS use).
