The Huawei sub-brand has launched two new Play-series smartphones. Both devices come with a 4,000mAh battery, AI-backed camera features, and a gradient back with a curved design.

While the Honor Play 4T comes with a punch-hole display and dual rear cameras, the Honor Play 4T Pro features a waterdrop-shaped notch and triple rear cameras.

The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 810 processor along with ARM Mali-G52 MP6 GPU and up to 8GB RAM.

The 128GB internal storage is expandable up to 256GB (via a micro SD card). The 4,000mAh battery comes with 22.5W fast charging support.

In terms of optics, the Honor Play 4T Pro sports a triple-camera setup on the back. It uses a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.4), and a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4).

For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Honor Play 4T Pro runs the Android 9 Pie operating system with Magic UI 2.1 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.3-inch OLED display with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 2.5D curved protection.

In terms of dimensions, the Honor Play 4T measures 157.4 x 73.2 x 7.75mm and weighs 165 grams. It features a waterdrop-shaped notch on the front.

Additionally, the new handset sports an in-display fingerprint sensor. Other sensors on the device include an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

Price and Availability

The Honor Play 4T is priced in China at CNY 1,499 (approx Rs 16,200) for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs CNY 1,699 (approx Rs 18,400).

The new smartphone comes in Blue, Emerald, and Black color options. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price tag and launch date.
