Analysis, Price and Availability
Keeping the price in the sub 15000 Rupees price range is a smart move by HTC for Indian market. However, the Moto G gives us a slightly smaller display and a better processor/chipset combo (good performance gain) and the latest version of Android – along with a promise of timely updation with a slightly smaller price tag. HTC made a really bad move by not providing the latest of build of Android and their critically acclaimed Sense UI. There’s no word on the future updates also. Unless you’re a fan of HTC design language, or do not care what version of Android you’re running on your smartphone, you’re good to go. If not, stay clear.
HTC Desire 516 is available for Rupees 14,200 from major retailers in India from last week of June 2014.
