The Leica SL2 is priced in the US at $5,995 (approx Rs 4,25,700). It will be available on November 21.

The Leica SL2 features a 47-megapixel full-frame sensor. It is powered by the Maestro III image processor.

The mirrorless camera features in-body image stabilization along with a multi-shot mode (records eight consecutive frames, where the sensor is shifted in half-pixel increments between each exposure).

The Leica SL2 can also shoot burst photos at up to 10fps with the mechanical shutter and up to 20fps with the electronic shutter.

The slim camera features a new design that offers improved ergonomics and a better grip. It is compatible with SL and TL lenses (thanks to an L bayonet lens mount).

Leica has also added an IP54 certification for dust and water resistance. It features two SD card slots (both accept UHD-II speed memory cards).

The new camera features an electronic viewfinder (with a resolution of 5.76 million dots) and a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a 2.1 million dot resolution.

The Leica SL2 supports DCI 4K shooting at up to 60fps. It can also output 4K streams at 10-bit 4:2:2 to an external recorder.

The new camera can be remotely controlled via a smartphone app. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a USB Type-C port.
