The LG Velvet is priced at KRW 899,800 (approx Rs 55,700). It will be available in South Korea on May 15.
The new handset will be on pre-sales from May 8 till May 14. Interested customers will also get prizes and discounts from LG.
The LG Velvet was launched via an online event, due to the social distancing regulations during the coronavirus pandemic.
As of now, there is no confirmation about the Indian price tag and launch date.

The LG Velvet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor (7nm) along with Adreno 620 GPU and 8GB RAM.
The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded (up to 1TB) via a micro SD card. The 4300mAh battery supports fast charging and 10w wireless charging.
On the back, the camera set up includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP depth sensor.
Camera features include quad-binning technology (combines 4 pixels into a one for clear pictures in dark conditions) and Time Lapse (adjust the speed automatically according to the shooting target).
A Voice Out Focus feature allows you to individually separate background noise and voice when shooting a video. For example, you can remove the sound of wind from a windy beach for a clearer voice recording.
Additionally, an ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) recording feature increases the sensitivity of the two high-performance microphones.
For selfies and video calling, the LG Velvet comes equipped with a 16MP front-facing camera.

The LG Velvet runs Android 10 OS. Connectivity options include 5G (SA/ NSA), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.8-inch OLED display with Full HD (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 20.5: 9 aspect ratio.
The LG Velvet features a ‘3D arc design’ with a metal frame. It will be available in four color options – Aurora Green, Aurora Gray, Aurora White, and Illusion Sunset.
The handset also supports LG Dual Screen and Stylus Pen. An Artificial Intelligence Sound feature automatically analyzes the content you are playing and sets the optimal audio quality.
Additional features in the device include stereo speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The LG Velvet has been in the news for a while now. The launch of the redesigned smartphone was delayed due to the spread of coronavirus.
Recently, the LG Style 3 was listed on the Japanese network operator NTT Docomo. It comes with a dedicated Google Assistant button and NFC support.
The new smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage that is expandable up to 512GB (via microSD card).
