The Meizu Note 8 is priced in China at CNY 1,298 (approx Rs 13,700). It is now available for pre-orders on the company’s website. Sales start on November 1. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

The new smartphone sports a 6.0-inch display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2160pixels) resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, 450-nit peak brightness, and a pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor along with Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM.

In terms of optics, the Meizu Note 8 sports a dual camera setup on the back. It combines a 12-megapixel primary sensor (with dual PDAF) and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor (with f/1.9 aperture). The 8-megapixel front camera comes with f/2.0 aperture and facial recognition technology.

The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). The new handset is backed by a 3,600mAh battery.

The Meizu Note 8 runs Android Oreo operating system with Flyme OS on top. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and GPS/ GLONASS.

The affordable handset measures 153.6 x 75.5 x 7.9mm and weighs 168 grams. It comes in four color options – Dark, Gray Blue, Smoke Purple, and Flame Red. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, hall sensor, and proximity sensor.

Conclusion

Recently, the company launched the Meizu 16X and Meizu X8 in China. Both the smartphones are powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor with Adreno 616 GPU. There is a dual camera setup on the back and a 20-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.0 aperture and AI ‘Face Unlock’ support) on front. Both handsets run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with Flyme OS on top.

The Meizu 16X sports a 6.0-inch AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2160pixels) resolution and pixel density of 402ppi. Whereas the Meizu 8X sports a 6.2-inch display with full-HD+(1080 x 2220pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 401ppi.
