The new handset is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor along with Adreno 610 GPU and 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a hybrid MicroSD card slot (up to 512GB).

The 4,000mAh battery comes with 15W charging support. It comes with the bundled 15W TurboPower charger (offers 8 hours of charge with 15 minutes of charging).

Cameras

On the back, the Moto G8 Plus sports a triple camera setup with a 48MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor (f/1.79 aperture).

Additionally, it includes a 16MP dedicated action camera (f/2.2 aperture, 117-degrees field of view) and a 5MP depth sensor (f/2.2 aperture).

Camera features include a dedicated night mode, spot color, up to 4K video capture at 30fps, and 1080p slo-mo videos at up to 120fps. For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports a 25MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Moto G8 Plus runs the stock Android 9 Pie operating system. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Qualcomm aptX, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.3-inch IPS LCD display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2280 pixels) resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio, a U-shaped notch, and a pixel density of 400ppi.

The Moto G8 Plus measures 158.35 x 75.83 x 9.09mm and weighs around 188 grams. It comes in Cosmic Blue and Crystal Pink color options (with a subtle gradient design).

Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, fingerprint reader, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and a magnetometer.
