Price Rs 32,999 (starting)

The Nothing Phone 1 is priced in India at Rs 32,999 for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. While the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage model costs Rs 35,999, the 12GB RAM/ 256GB varinat comes at Rs 38,999.

The new smartphone will be available for purchase from July 21 through Flipkart. It comes in Black and White color options. Customers who pre-order the can a discount of Rs 1,000.

This is the first smartphone from the London-based company Nothing. It sports a transparent back panel. Additionally, the Glyph Interface uses LED strips to offer unique light patterns for notifications, etc. Let’s take a closer look:

The Nothing Phone 1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ processor along with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

The new handset is backed by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 33W wired charging, 15W Qi wireless charging, and 5W reverse charging.

The Nothing Phone 1 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor (f/1.88, OIS, EIS) and a 50Mp Samsung JN1 sensor (f/2.2, EIS, 114-degree FoV).

Camera features include Panorama Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Scene Detection, Extreme Night Mode, a Macro mode, and Expert Mode. For selfies, it features a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor (f/2.45).

The Nothing Phone 1 runs the Android 12 operating system. The company is promising 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches (every 2 months).

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6 Direct, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS, and USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM (nano) smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The company claims that facial recognition works with face coverings.

The 6.55-inch OLED display comes with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) resolution, a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR10+ support, 402ppi pixel density, 1,200 nits peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The Nothing Phone 1 comes with an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance. The rear panel also gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection. A Glyph Interface allows you to personalize the lighting effects on the back.
