Nubia Play Launched With 144Hz Display, Quad Rear Cameras, 5100mAh Battery

The Nubia Play is priced at 2399 yuan (approx Rs 26,095) for the 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. The 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage model costs 2699 yuan (approx Rs 29,280).

The top-end variant (with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage) comes with a price tag of 2999 yuan (approx Rs 32,535). Sales start in China from April 24th.

The new smartphone will be available in Black, Blue, and White color options. As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.

The Nubia Play is powered by an octa-core QualcommSnapdragon 765G processor (7nm) along with Adreno 620 GPU, 6GB/ 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128GB/ 256GB UFS 2.1 storage.

ZTE claims that the new ICE2.5 rack-mounted liquid cooling system brings down the temperature by up to 16° C. It uses a 61mm large liquid cooling tube and various heat dissipation materials (thermally conductive graphite, gel, copper foil, etc).

On the back, the handset sports a quad-camera set up with a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor (0.8μm pixel size, f/1.75 aperture), 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (120-degree), 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4).

For selfies and video calling, the Nubia Play features a 12MP front camera. It is backed by a 5,100mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

The Nubia Play runs the Android 10 OS with nubiaUI 8.0 on top. Connectivity options include 5G (SA/ NSA), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ GLONASS/ Beidou, NFC, and USB Type-C.

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 6.65-inch display with Full HD+ (1080 × 2340 pixels) resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 144Hz refresh rate, and DCI-P3 color gamut.

The AMOLED panel comes with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and up to 4096 levels of automatic brightness adjustment.

In terms of dimensions, the Nubia Play measures 171.7 × 78.5 × 9.1mm and weighs 210g. It features a dual-touch game trigger keys for a better gaming experience.

Additional features on the device include an in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C audio, 1217 Linear Speaker, and DTS sound.
