Recently, Oppo launched the Reno 5 5G, Reno 5 Pro 5G, and Reno 5 Pro+ 5G smartphones in China. Now, it has added a new variant to the lineup.
The Oppo Reno 5 comes with similar specifications as the Oppo Reno 5 5G. However, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC and doesn’t support 5G networks.

The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor along with Adreno 618 GPU and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM. The 128GB storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot.
The Oppo Reno 5 is backed by a 4,310mAh lithium-polymer battery that supports 50W fast charging. It also supports VOOC 4.0, SuperVOOC, PD, and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge charging standards.
Cameras
On the back, the new handset sports a quad-camera setup. It uses a 64-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.7 aperture), an 8MP super-wide-angle lens (f/2.2), a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP monochrome sensor.
For selfies and video calling, the Oppo Reno 5 comes equipped with a 44-megapixel front camera (f/2.4) with 84 degrees field-of-view (FoV).

The Oppo Reno 5 runs the Android 11 operating system with ColorOS 11.1 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone features a 6.4-inch display with full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Price and Availability

The Oppo Reno 5 price is priced in Vietnam at VND 8,690,000 (approx Rs 27,400). As of now, there is no information about the Indian price and launch date.
The Oppo Reno 5 5G and Reno 5 Pro 5G were recently launched in China with a starting price of CNY 2,699 (approx Rs 30,200) and CNY 3,399 (approx Rs 38,000), respectively.
The company also launched the Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ in the Chinese market with a price tag of CNY 3,999 (approx Rs 45,000).
