Realme X50 5G Launched With 64MP Quad Camera Setup, Dual Selfie Cam

The Realme X50 5G is the first smartphone to run Realme UI (announced at the same event). Highlights of the device include Snapdragon 765G SoC, 64MP quad-camera setup, dual selfie cam, and dual-mode 5G support.

The company has also announced the Realme X50 5G Master Edition. It comes in Black and Gold patterns. The special variant has been created by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. It is said to be inspired by ‘dots and lines’.

The new handset is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 765G processor along with up to 12GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB internal storage.

The Realme X50 5G Master Edition only comes in a single 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage configuration. Other specifications remain the same.

The Realme X50 5G is backed by a 4,300mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge support. It is touted to charge the device up to 70 percent in just 30 minutes.

Cameras

On the back, the smartphone sports a quad-camera setup (vertically-aligned) with 64MP 1/1.72-inch Samsung GW1 sensor (f/1.8 aperture, a 78.6-degree field of view).

The camera set up also includes a 12MP telephoto camera (f/2.5, 20x hybrid zoom), an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens (119-degree FoV, f/2.25), and a 2MP macro camera (f/2.4).

On the front, the Realme X50 5G sports a dual camera set (placed in a pill-shaped cutout). It includes a 16MP sensor (f/2.0) and an 8MP sensor (f/2.2, 105 degree ultra-wide angle lens).

The new handset runs the Android 10 operating system with Realme UI on top. Connectivity options include dual-mode 5G (SA/ NSA), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, NFC, dual-frequency GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.57-inch LCD display with full-HD+ (100×2400 pixels) resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.4 percent screen ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The Realme X50 5G measures 163.8 x 75.8 x 8.9mm and weighs 202 grams. A fingerprint sensor is placed on the side.

The Realme X50 5G is priced at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs 25,800) for the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage variant. The 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage model costs CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 30,900).

The handset comes in Polar White and Glacier Blue color options. It will go on sale in China from January 9.

The Realme X50 5G Master Edition is priced at CNY 3,099 (approx Rs 32,000). It is currently available for reservations via the company’s official site.
