The ‘always-on, always-connected’ laptop is aimed to meet remote work and study requirements. It will compete with recently launched Chromebooks.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, Windows 10 OS, Dolby Atmos support, a 720p HD webcam, and a 180-degree folding hinge. Let’s take a closer look:

The new laptop is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 processor along with an Adreno GPU, 4GB/ 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, and 64GB/ 128GB eUFS storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go is backed by a 42.3Wh battery with fast charging support. It ships with a 25W USB Type-C fast charger.

For video calling, the new laptop comes equipped with a 720p HD webcam and a digital microphone. It comes with microSD card support.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go runs Windows 10 Home OS (configurable to Windows 10 Pro). It also comes with the Samsung TV Plus service and preloaded Microsoft Your Phone app (syncs your phone to the laptop).

Connectivity options include LTE (optional), Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, two USB Type-C ports, a USB 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The LTE variant comes with a Nano SIM card slot.

The new laptop features a 14-inch TFT display with full-HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) resolution and slim bezels. It measures 323.9 x 224.8 x 14.9mm and weighs 1.38 kilograms.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go sports a military-grade build (said to have passed MIL-STD-810G tests) and a silver finish. It also comes with a 180-degree hinge.

Price and Availability

Price (starting)$349 (approx Rs 25,500)

The Samsung Galaxy Book Go comes with a starting price of $349 (approx Rs 25,500) for the Wi-Fi-only variant. The price of the LTE version is yet to be revealed.

The new laptop will go on sale in select markets from June. As of now, Samsung has not confirmed the Indian price tag and launch date.

The company has also announced the Samsung Galaxy Book Go 5G. However, its pricing and detailed specifications are yet to be announced.

The 5G-enabled model will be available later this year. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G and Wi-Fi 6.
