The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It is backed by a 2,760mAh battery.

In terms of optics, the Sony Xperia 8 sport a dual-camera setup on the back. It uses a 12-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary sensor.

For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports an 8-megapixel front camera.
