The Microsoft Surface Book 3 comes in two sizes – 13-inch and 15-inch. The smaller model is priced at Rs 1,56,299 for the 10th-Gen Ice Lake Core i5/ 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage model.

The Intel Core i7/ 16GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant comes with a price tag of Rs 1,95,899. While the 32GB RAM/ 512GB storage/ Core i7 variant costs Rs 2,37,199, a 1TB storage model comes at Rs 2,59,299.

On the other hand, the 15-inch version is priced at Rs 2,20,399 for the Intel Core i7/ 16GB RAM/ 256GB storage variant.

While the 32GB RAM/ 512GB storage model costs Rs 2,66,499, the 1TB storage model comes with a price tag of Rs 2,86,199.

The company is also offering an Nvidia Quadra RTX 3000 model for commercial customers at Rs 3,40,399. It comes with a Core i7 processor, 32GB RAM, and 1TB storage.

Originally, the 13-inch Surface Book 3 was launched at $1,599 (approx Rs 1,21,940). It comes with a 1.2GHz Core i5 CPU, integrated graphics, 8GB RAM, and 256GB NVMe SSD storage.

The 15-inch model (with up to 1.3GHz Core i7 CPU, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, 32GB RAM, 2TB NVMe SSD storage) costs $3,399 (approx Rs 2,59,200). Sales start in late May.

Highlights and Features

The Microsoft Surface Book 3 offers up to 17.5 hours of battery life with improved power efficiency in standby.

The detachable 2-in-1 comes in 13.5-inch (3,000 x 2,000 pixels) and 15-inch (3,240 x 2,160 pixels) variants. While the 13.5-inch model weighs up to 1.64kg, the 15-inch variant weighs 1.9kg.

The premium laptop is powered by a quad-core 10th-Gen Intel Core i5-1035G7 and i7-1065G7 processors along with up to 32GB RAM and up to 1TB SSD.

While the larger model integrates NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 graphics, the smaller model comes with up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics.

The new tablet runs Windows 10 Pro OS. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port, two Surface Connect ports, an SDXC card slot,

For photos and videos, the Microsoft Surface Book 3 sports an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. There are also far-field stereo microphones.

With the new device, Microsoft is trying to showcase the capabilities of its hardware and Windows 10 OS. It hopes to offer solutions to people working from homes during the ongoing lockdowns in multiple countries.

Alongside the Surface Book 3, Microsoft also launched the Surface Go 2 tablet in the Indian market.
