The Vivo Z5 is priced in China at 1598 Yuan (approx Rs 15,900) for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage, 6GB RAM/ 256GB storage, and 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage models cost 1898 Yuan (approx Rs 18,900), 1998 Yuan (approx Rs 19,950), and 2298 Yuan (approx Rs 22,950), respectively.

As of now, there is no information about the Indian price or launch date.

The Vivo Z5 is powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core Snapdragon 712 processor (10nm platform) along with Adreno 616 GPU, up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB internal storage. It also comes with the company’s Multi-Turbo technology.

In terms of optics, the new handset features a triple camera set up on the back. It combines a 48MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) with an 8MP wide-angle sensor (120-degree, f/2.2 aperture), a 2MP depth sensor (f/2.4 aperture), and a LED flash.

For selfies and video calling, the Vivo Z5 sports a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture (it will capture 8-megapixel pixel-binned photos). The 4500mAh battery comes with 22.5W fast charging support.

The new smartphone is likely to run Android 9.0 Pie operating system with Funtouch OS 9 on top. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and dual-SIM.

The Vivo Z5 features a 6.36-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. It measures 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and weighs 189.6g.

The new handset comes in Forest Night, Aurora Illusion and Holographic Illusion color options. Additional features include an Always-on Display, DC dimming, waterdrop-shaped notch, Face Unlock, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Vivo is also expected to launch the S1 smartphone in India on August 7. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor along with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

The Vivo S1 global variant is backed by a 4,500mAh battery. It features a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution and a waterdrop-style notch. Additionally, it features an in-display fingerprint sensor.

In terms of optics, the new handset sports a triple camera setup on the back. It comes with a 16-megapixel primary sensor (f/1.78 aperture), 8-megapixel wide-angle lens (f/2.2 aperture), and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor (f/2.4 aperture). For selfies and video calling, the handset sports a 32-megapixel front camera (f/2.0 aperture).
