The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor and 8GB RAM. The 128GB internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card (up to 256GB).

In terms of optics, the Vivo Z5i sports a triple camera setup on the back. It uses a 16MP primary sensor (f/1.78 aperture), an 8MP secondary sensor (f/2.2), and a 2MP macro lens (f/2.4).

For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports a 16MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The 5,000mAh battery supports 18W fast charging.

The Vivo Z5i runs the Android 9 Pie operating system with Funtouch OS 9.2 on top. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The dual-SIM smartphone features a 6.53-inch TFT LTPS display with Full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) resolution, 19.5:9 aspect ratio, and 90.30 percent screen-to-body ratio.

In terms of dimensions, the Vivo Z5i measures 162.15 x 76.47 x 8.89mm and weighs 193 grams. It comes in Jade Blue and Onyx Black color options.

A fingerprint sensor is placed on the back. Sensors on the device include an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor.

The new smartphone looks similar to the Vivo Z5 and sports similar specs to the Vivo U3 (launched in China last month).

The Vivo U3 comes with a starting price tag of CNY 999 (approx Rs 10,200). It was launched in India as the Vivo U20 with a starting price of Rs 10,990.
