How To Find Wi-Fi Password On Android Phone

Wi-Fi password is the first thing people ask for nowadays. However, once connected, we often forget the password as the phone automatically connects the next time.

Most Android smartphones (version 10 or above) store passwords for any Wi-Fi network you’ve connected to previously. It is quite easy to access these passwords and share them with a guest.

How To Find Wi-Fi Password On Android Phone

  • Open Settings > Network & internet and tap the Internet option. You can also navigate to Settings > Network & Internet/ Settings > Wi-Fi/ type Wi-Fi into the Settings search field.
  • Next, tap the gear icon next to your Wi-Fi network. Scroll down tap Saved Networks and select the network you want to check.
  • Then, tap Share and provide your fingerprint, PIN, or other authentication method if required.
  • Now, you should see the password on the next screen. This screen also contains a QR code that can be scanned to connect to the Wi-Fi network without entering the password manually.
  • That’s it!

Note: It is not possible to view your Wi-Fi password on devices running Android 9 and older. Passwords stored in these versions are protected by encryption. However, you can use the QR code feature or download an app from Google Play called Wi-Fi Password Viewer.
