Alongside Redmi Pro smartphone, Xiaomi has launched its first ever laptop, called the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air, in China. The device comes in two variants based on display size- 12.5-inch and 13.3-inch, both with full HD displays. Both models feature thin full metal body. The 12.5-inch variant has thickness of 12.9mm and weighs 1.07kg while the 13.3-inch variant measures 14.8mm in thickness and weighs 1.28kg. Despite featuring same 13.3-inch display size as the MacBook Air, the 13.3-inch Mi NoteBook Air is 11 percent smaller and is also slimmer than the 17mm MacBook Air.
The Mi Notebook Air features a full-sized backlit keyboard and a glass trackpad. As for battery life, the 12.5-inch model is claimed to survive for up to 11.5 hours while the 13.3-inch variant can survive for up to 9.5 hours on single charge. The Mi NoteBook Air supports fast charging technology which is said to take just half an hour to charge the laptop to 50 percent.
On software front, the device runs Windows 10 operating system. Both models pack Mi Cloud Sync which enables users to sync contacts, messages, gallery, notes and other data from Xiaomi smartphone using Mi Cloud. The Mi NoteBook Air supports Bluetooth 4.1 as well which lets users connect wearables. It has unlock support via Mi Band 2 that automatically unlocks the laptop when connected to Mi Band 2. It comes with AKG custom grade dual speakers and Dolby Digital surround sound support.

Price & Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch variant is priced at 3499 Yuan (approximately Rs. 35,300) and the 13.3-inch variant will be available for 4999 Yuan (approximately Rs. 50,400). It comes in Silver and Gold color options and will go on sale starting August 2, 2016.
