Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its Moto X4 smartphone at IFA 2017 trade show in Berlin. It comes with dual cameras, Snapdragon 630 SoC, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support. The company was expected to launch the new handset in Indian on October 3 but the launch date was postponed without notice. Now, a new date has been revealed. The Moto X4 will be launched in India on November 13. The company revealed the new launch date via twitter. However, there is no information about the price of the upcoming handset. The new handset was initially launched at EUR 399 (approx Rs 30,500). It might bear feature a similar price tag in India.

The Moto X4 will feature a 5.2-inch LTPS IPS display with full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution, 424ppi pixel density, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. In some regions, the Moto X4 smartphone is likely to offer 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage option. It is backed by a 3000mAh non-removable battery with Fast Charge 3.0 support.
On the camera front, the new handset features dual camera setup with color correlated temperature (CCT) dual-LED flash and phase detection autofocus (PDAF). It combines a 12-megapixel dual autofocus sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 1.4-micron pixels with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture, and 1.12-micron pixels. Other features include an ultra-wide angle shot, depth detection and depth effects, Selective Focus, selective Black & White, background replacement, panorama mode, and slow-motion video. The camera can also recognize landmarks/objects and scan barcodes/QR codes/Business cards.
The Moto X4 also features a 16-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1-micron pixels and LED flash. It comes with features like adaptive low light mode, professional mode, selfie panorama, beautification mode, and face filters.

The Moto X4 smartphone sports a metal (aluminum) unibody design with a dual camera setup on the back. It measures 148.35 x 73.40 x 7.99mm and weighs 163 grams. The Moto handset comes with an IP68 rating (water and dust resistance). It can be immersed in up to 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. A fingerprint scanner is placed on the home button. Other sensors on the phone include a proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and ambient light sensor. The new smartphone comes in two color options – Super Black and Sterling Blue.
The single-SIM smartphone runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out of the box. It comes with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support that allows users to carry out a voice-based search. Since the company launched its Echo devices and Amazon Alexa Voice Services in India earlier this month, we can expect the Moto X4 smartphone to feature a fully-functional Alexa.
Other features include a new three-finger screenshot gesture, Moto experiences, and Moto Key (inbuilt password manager). The Bluetooth support allows you to sync with four speakers or headphones at one time. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, GLONASS, FM radio support, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack.
