As we inch closer to the launch of Samsung’s upcoming smartphone- Galaxy S8 on March 29, 2017, we are learning more and more information about the device in the form of leaks and rumors. Recently, a new live image has surfaced that shows Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ kept side by side.
The Galaxy S8, on the left, is the smaller variant (5.8-inch screen expected) while the larger sibling, Galaxy S8+ is likely to feature 6.2-inch display. The top bezel of both the phones looks crowded with front camera, earpiece and sensors, along with one more sensor which could be an iris scanner. The on-screen navigation buttons look different from those present on other Galaxy smartphones and are likely to be customizable.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be unveiled alongside Galaxy S8+ on March 29, 2017 and is likely to go on sale starting April 21. It will be up for pre-orders starting April 10. The Galaxy S8 with a 5.8-inch display is likely carry a price tag of €799 (approximately Rs. 56,800) while the Galaxy S8+ with 6.2-inch display is expected to be priced at €899 (approximately Rs. 63,900).

Samsung is soon going to unveil its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphones. The latest leak reveals that the Galaxy S8 will feature a nearly bezel-less display, called the ‘Infinity display’. It is likely to have an aspect ration of 18:9. Another leak claims that Samsung’s upcoming smartphone will be up for pre-orders starting April 10, 2017.

The latest leak comes from tipster Evan Blass who has shared a press render of the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 that gives a closer look at the smartphone. As per the latest render, the Galaxy S8 features a big screen with thin bezels and rounded corners. We could expect it to have an aspect ratio of 2:1 like what we get in the LG G6. Furthermore, no home button or navigation buttons are seen below the display, hinting that the phone will sport on-screen navigation buttons.

As per a Chinese tipster, in addition to a 4GB RAM version, there will be a 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant of the Galaxy S8. It will also support expandable storage via microSD card. Sadly, however, the 6GB variant is expected to be China exclusive initially. It is likely to reach South Korea and global markets depending on market demand.
Another leak hints that the Galaxy S8 will pack a 3250mAh battery while the S8 Plus will come with 3750mAh battery which is more than the battery capacity of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

Why shouldn’t they be, as it is Samsung’s one hope to regain the trust of its customers. There’s no denying that Samsung would be trying hard to win back the trust it lost. But when will the smartphone be launched? While previous reports were hinting at Galaxy S8’s launch in February 2017, Samsung’s Mobile Chief Koh Dong-jin has confirmed that the phone will not be launched at MWC 2017.
The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event is taking place in Barcelona from February 27. With Samsung already having it confirmed that the Galaxy S8 will not be announced at MWC 2017, we could expect the Galaxy S8 to see the light of the day sometime later in 2017.

As per a Korean website Naver, Samsung may take the wraps off its upcoming flagship smartphone at an event in New York in April 2017. Another report hinting the price of the Galaxy S8 has also emerged. According to the report, the Galaxy S8 could be priced higher than the Galaxy S7 series smartphones. It is likely to be priced 15 to 20 percent more than the Galaxy S7.

Leaks about Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8 don’t seem to stop coming. A new rumor hints that the smartphone will feature Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Announced by Bluetooth Special Interest Group, Bluetooth 5.0 offers four times longer range, twice faster speed and eight times larger broadcast message capacity compared to Bluetooth 4.2.
Furthermore, Synaptics has unveiled industry’s first optical fingerprint sensor for smartphones and tablets, which is likely to be used in the Galaxy S8. The optical fingerprint sensor can scan through 1mm cover glass and allows button-less design. The FS9100 optical sensor can work through 2.5D type glass that too without needing any space on the front like capacitive fingerprint sensors that require physical button cutouts.

Yet another rumor has emerged that hints that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will pack 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The report comes from TechTastic, which has sourced information from Weibo.
The latest report also suggests that depending on the region, the Galaxy S8 will pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset or Exynos 9 series chipset. With Quacomm Snapdragon 835 SoC onboard, the Galaxy S8 is likely to come with Quick Charging 4.0 support. The smartphone is also said to come with a pressure sensitive display with no physical home button or touch capacitive buttons.

While previous reports hinted that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.5-inch display, a new leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come in two variants with 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch screen sizes.
Both variants of Galaxy S8 are said to feature curved edge display. As per the latest reports, there will be no flat variant of the phone like the Galaxy S7. Besides difference in screen size, all other specifications of both variants are likely to be the same. The larger 6.2-inch model is expected to be called as Galaxy S8 Plus.

As per latest reports, Samsung has already started preparing the Galaxy S8. The leaked specifications of the phone have also started making rounds over the internet.
As per latest rumors, the Galaxy S8 will be equipped with optical fingerprint recognition technology. The fingerprint reader will be present beneath the display instead of home button. Moreover, some rumors suggest that there will be no home button onboard.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Galaxy S8 will pack Exynos 8895 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. It will feature a 5.5-inch 4K SUPER AMOLED display with 3840×2160 pixels resolution and 806ppi pixel density.
For shutterbugs, the Galaxy S8 will sport a dual camera set up on the back. It will come with a 16 mega pixel camera and an 8 mega pixel camera on the rear. On design front, the phone is likely to feature a bezel-less design. Rest of the specifications are not known as of now and are likely to be revealed in the coming days.
