ZTE has taken the wraps off its ZTE Axon Mini smartphone. The company has detailed its specifications alongside availability details.
Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. At the front, there is 5.2-inch Super AMOLED full HD display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. There is 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. On photography front, it sports a 13 mega pixel rear camera with PDAF (phase detection auto focus) and an 8 mega pixel front facing camera. It is backed up by a 2800mAh battery.
The device flaunts its pressure-sensitive touch screen which recognizes different levels of touch pressure for performing various functions. The smartphone comes with several biometric authentication options such as fingerprint, voice control and eye-scan for added security.
Furthermore, the handset is equipped with a voice search function which can be activated within 1.2 seconds. It also offers real-time voice translation with support for English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages.

The Ion Gold and Chromium Silver variants of ZTE Axon Mini are priced at CNY 2299 for Chinese market ($379 for Asia-Pacific), while the Rose Gold variant is priced at CNY 2399 ($399 for Asia-Pacific). The Premium Edition carries price tag of CNY 2699 ($439 for Asia Pacific). It will initially go on sale in China, followed by Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Russia, Japan, India, Australia, France, Germany, Turkey, Spain and Italy in the coming months.
