While the Acer Chromebook 512 is priced at $329 (approx Rs 23,400), the Acer Chromebook Spin 512 comes with a price tag of $449 (approx Rs 32,000). On the other hand, the Acer TravelMate B114-21 costs $319 (approx Rs 22,700). All three laptops will be available in the second quarter of 2019.

The sturdy laptop complies with the MIL-STD 810G military standards along with the ASTM F963-16 and UL/IED 60950-1 toy safety standards. It also sports a spill-proof keyboard with a liquid drainage system at the bottom of the chassis.

The Acer Chromebook 512 is powered by a quad-core Intel Celeron N4000/ Celeron N4100/ Pentium Silver N50000 processor and up to 8GB RAM. The 64GB eMMC internal storage can be further expanded via a microSD card slot.

The touch-sensitive 12-inch IPS LCD display comes with a resolution of 1366 x 912 pixels, 3:2 aspect ratio, and a wide viewing angle of 170-degrees. It also sports Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass on top. Additionally, the Chromebook Spin 512 comes with a dockable Wacom EMR stylus.

For video calling, the laptop sports an 8-megapixel webcam. Connectivity options include WiFi ac 2×2 802.11ac MU-MIMO, two USB 3.1 Type-C Gen 1 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Acer claims that the battery can last for up to 12 hours on a single charge.

The convertible Chromebook sports a 360-degree hinge and can be used in multiple modes – laptop mode, tent mode, and tablet mode. It sports same build quality and durability standard as the Acer Chromebook 512. Other specifications remain the same. Users can choose from Intel Pentium Silver N5000/ Intel Celeron N4100 processors.

The rugged notebook runs Windows 10 (S mode) operating system. It also comes with the same durability standards as the new Chromebooks. Additionally, it features a rubber bumper and an impact-resistant body (withstands drops from up to 122cm height).

The Acer TravelMate B114-21 is powered by up to 7th Gen AMD A6-9220C APU along with Radeon R5 graphics, 16GB RAM, and up to 256GB dual-lane PCIe NVMeSSD storage. Another variant comes with an AMD A4-9120 APU and up to 64GB eMMC flash memory.

The new laptop sports a 14-inch display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, HDMI port, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.1 port, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, an SD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
