Amazon has finally launched its Echo Input device in India. It essentially allows you to bring Alexa to any speaker in your home. The Amazon Echo Input was initially launched in September last year, alongside a suite of new Echo devices. It is now available in India at Rs 2,999. The smart device ships with a 5W power adapter, Micro-USB cable, and an auxiliary cable.
As part of launch offers, Amazon is offering JBL Go 2 speaker bundle with a flat Rs 1,499 discount. Additionally, on a purchase of the new Ultimate Ears Boom 3 or the Bose SoundLink Revolve, you can get the Echo Input for free.

The Amazon Echo Input sports a circular saucer-like design. It measures just 12.5mm in thickness. There are only two buttons on the top – for switching the microphone off and triggering Alexa. A single LED light is also placed on the top.
The new Echo device essentially adds Alexa support to any existing speakers at home. Connectivity options include dual-band 802.11 Wi-Fiac, 3.5mm headphone socket and a Micro-USB port on the side. The Alexa app is required for the setup process.
You can easily stream music from Amazon Prime Music, Saavn and TuneIn with simple voice commands. The Hungama and Gaana music streaming services have also been added. The company claims that the four-microphone array on the Input can recognize your voice across a room, even with music playing.
