Asus ZenFone 2 Variants With Snapdragon 615 and 410 SoCs Launched At Computex 2015

Asus has unveiled new Asus Zenfone 2 variants- Zenfone 2 (ZE500KL), Zenfone 2 (ZE550KL) and Zenfone 2 (ZE600KL) at Computex 2015 event. These new variants pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 and 410 SoCs instead of Intel Atom chipsets.

As far as specifications of the handsets are concerned, the ZenFone 2 ZE500KL is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM. It comes with 5-inch HD IPS (1280×720 pixels) display, 16GB/32GB inbuilt storage (expandable via microSD card), 13 mega pixel rear camera and 5 mega pixel front facing camera.

Asus has expanded its Transformer Book series of 2-in-1 convertible laptops with the addition of Transformer Book T100HA, Transformer Book Flip TP200 and new color option for Transformer Book Chi models.

The Transformer Book T100HA is touted to offer world’s longest battery life. As for specifications, the Transformer Book T100HA is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Cherry Trail processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and features a 10.1-inch display. It comes pre-installed with Windows 10 and features reversible USB 3.1 Type-C port. It offers 14 hours of battery life, measures 8.45mm in thickness and weighs 580 grams.

Intex has launched two new budget smartphones in its Aqua series- Intex Aqua 3G Pro and Aqua 3G Strong. Both handsets share some specifications in common. The Intex Aqua 3G Pro and Aqua 3G Strong smartphones pack a 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum SC7715 processor, 4-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 2 mega pixel rear camera, VGA front facing camera and dual-SIM support. Both smartphones run Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.

The Intex Aqua 3G Pro houses 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage (expandable via microSD card) while the Aqua 3G Strong features 256MB of RAM and 512MB of inbuilt storage (expandable via microSD card).

Panasonic has expanded its Eluga series of smartphones with the launch of Panasonic Eluga S Mini smartphone in India. This phone is essentially the Mini variant of Panasonic’s selfie focused phone Eluga S which was launched last year in November.

Under the hood, the Eluga S Mini is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Running Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system wrapped under company’s FIT HOME UI, the phone features a 4.7-inch HD display 1280×720 pixels resolution. It sports an 8 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5 mega pixel front facing camera with Blink Play. The handset comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

Micromax has launched the refreshed version of its Android One smartphone called the Micromax Canvas A1. The new variant carries the same name tag however there is a difference in the model number. The new variant has the model number- AQ4502 instead of AQ4501 of the previous one.

As for specifications, the new variant again packs same specs expect difference in inbuilt storage and operating system. The Canvas A1 AQ4502 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, it features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with 854×480 pixels resolution.

Asus has announced its Asus Zen AiO series of all-in-one PC’s at Computex 2015 event. The range comprises of 23.8-inch Zen AiO Z240IC and 21.5-inch Zen AiO Z220IC.

The AiO series PC’s are powered by quad-core Intel Core up to i7 processors paired with 32GB of DDR4 memory and up to PCIe Gen 3×4 SSD storage. It also features NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics with up to 4GB of video memory. The Zen AiO series comes with USB 3.1 Gen 2 for faster data transfer. It is also equipped with USB 3.1 Type-C connector. The Zen AiO Z240IC additionally sports 3D camera with Intel RealSense technology. The camera is capable of capturing moving objects or people. It also boasts of 3D facial recognition which allows users to use their face as login password.

Asus has announced its Asus ZenPad series of tablets at Computex 2015. This series comprises of a 7-inch ZenPad 7 (Z370C/CG/CL), 8-inch ZenPad 8.0 (Z380C/KL), ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C/CA) with optional Z Stylus, and the 10-inch ZenPad 10.1 (Z300C/CG/CL) with an optional keyboard.

The Asus ZenPad 8.0 boasts of its metallic finish embossed-leather pattern and premium style. It comes with several interchangeable back covers such as Audio cover, which adds 5.1-channel surround sound to the tablet; Power Case, which extends battery life of the tablet up to 15 hours; and Zen Case, interchangeable cover which gives the users five color options to choose from.
