The new smartphone is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Mediatek Helio P22 processor and 4GB RAM. The 64GB internal storage can be further expanded via a micro SD card (up to 128GB).
The 4000mAh battery comes with fast charging support. It offers a talk time of 18 hours and a standby time of 200 hours.
In terms of optics, the Coolpad Cool 5 sports a dual-camera setup at the back. It uses a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Camera features include bokeh mode, time-lapse, portrait mode, face cute and 6 level beauty mode.
For selfies and video calling, the new handset sports a 16MP front camera with AI Beauty mode.

The Coolpad Cool 5 features a 6.22-inch TFT-IPS display with HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) resolution, a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a dewdrop notch.
In terms of dimensions, the new handset measures 15.7 x 0.8 x 7.6 cm and weighs 145 grams. It comes in in Gradient Blue and Midnight Blue color options.
For security, the Coolpad Cool 5 comes with a fingerprint scanner and a ‘face unlock’ feature.
The new smartphone runs the Android 9 Pie operating system. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, USB Type-C port and FM Radio.
