Google has been rolling out a dark mode for several of its services such as Gmail, YouTube, and Google Calendar. Now, the Google app is getting a dark mode.
The new feature gives the app a greyish look. It is also said to save battery while using the app. The rolled out is expected to happen by the end of the week.
The new dark mode will be available for the Google app on Android 10 and iOS 12/ 13. You can simply choose the theme from the Settings.
You will be able to choose from Light and Dark modes as per their preference. However, by default, it will be in sync with your phone’s system settings.
Users who receive the new update may notice a pop-up mentioning the availability of the dark theme when they open the app.
Google has been slowly introducing the dark mode to its services. However, some Google apps like Google Maps are yet to get the new feature.
Apart from reducing the strain on eyes, the dark mode also helps users to save battery life, as opposed to a bright and colorful interface.
