The Dell XPS 15 9500 comes with a starting price of $1,299.99 (approx Rs 98,200). It is available for purchase in Canada and the US (arrives in Asian and European markets later this week).

The Dell XPS 17 9700 price starts $1,499.99 (approx Rs 1,14,000). It will be available in Canada, US, Asian, and European markets later this summer.

For both new models, the company has not revealed the details of the Indian price and launch date.

Additionally, the Dell Migrate tool is being offered at $39 (approx Rs 2,900). It allows you to move data from your existing Windows-based PC.

Specifications and Features

Both the Dell XPS 15 9500 (aka XPS 15 2020) and XPS 17 9700 (aka XPS 17 2020) models come with a new design. An increased fan airflow helps to dissipate more heat and enhance performance.

Highlights include 10th-generation Intel Core processors, larger 16:10 displays, and up-firing speakers (with Waves Nx 3D audio technology).

The new laptop is powered by a 10th-generation Intel Core i5-10300H – Intel Core i9-10885H processor along with up to Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU and up to 32GB DDR4 SDRAM.

The Dell XPS 15 9500 comes with up to 1TB PCIe 3 SSD storage. You can also choose from a 256GB and 512GB storage option.

The 15.6-inch InfinityEdge display comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Users can choose from a 4K UHD+ (3840 x 2400 pixels) touchscreen and full-HD+ (1920 x 1200 pixels) non-touchscreen options.

While the touchscreen model is backed by an 86Whr battery, the non-touch version comes with a 56Whr battery.

The Dell XPS 15 9500 runs Windows 10 Home operating system. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB Type-C 3.1 (with power delivery and DisplayPort support), and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The new laptop comes measure 344.72 x 230.14 x 18mm and weighs up to 2.05 kilograms. The speaker is placed on the dock, alongside the keyboard.

The Dell XPS 15 9500 comes with Waves Nx 3D audio tuned by Grammy Award-winning producer Jack Joseph Puig. It also sports a dual-microphone array.

Additionally, a built-in technology can track head movements while wearing headphones to align the direction of the sound to your visual point-of-view. It also uses head-tracking through the speakers.

The Dell XPS 17 9700 features two 1.5W tweeters and two 2.5W woofers. It is also tuned with Waves MaxxAudio Pro and Waves Nx 3D audio technologies.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type-C to USB-A 3.0, and HDMI 2.0 adapter.

The new laptop is backed by up to 97Whr battery. It measures 374.45 x 248.05 x 19.5mm and weighs up to 2.51kg. Other specs and features are the same as the new XPS 15 model.
