The portable high-resolution music player is powered by the Samsung Exynos 7270 processor. It features an ESS Sabre 9018Q2C digital-to-analog converter (DAC) on board for signal conversion. Connectivity options include a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth (with support for the AptX HD and LDAC codecs), Wi-Fi and USB Type-C (can also be used for charging).
The Fiio M6 supports a wide range of audio file formats. This includes native support for DSD, FLAC, WAV, and ALAC. It also supports compressed audio formats such as MP3, WMA, OGG and AAC. The new device is also ‘High-Res Audio’ certified.
The compact device sports a 3.2-inch touch screen with a resolution of 480 x 800-pixels. It features an Android-based interface for navigation. The 2GB internal storage can be further expanded via microSD cards.
In terms of power, the Fiio M6 is backed by a 1,200mAh battery that runs for 13 hours per charge (when used with wired headphones) and 15 hours (with a Bluetooth headset or speaker).
