Honor 5C With 5.2-inch FHD Display, Fingerprint Sensor Launched In India: Price & Specifications

Honor has launched its budget smartphone- Honor 5C, in the Indian market. The phone succeeds the Honor 4C which was introduced last year in 2015.

As far as specifications are concerned, the 5C packs an octa-core Kirin 650 processor coupled with Mali-T830 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Kirin 650 chipset powering the 5C is based on 16nm process instead of the 28nm process which is common with smartphones in this price range. The high-performance 16 nm processor ensures super-fast performance with reduced power consumption.

The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Huawei EMUI 4.1 on top. It features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display with 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The device houses 16GB of internal memory which can be expanded further up to 128GB using microSD card.

For photography lovers, the Honor 5C comes with a 13 mega pixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8 mega pixel front facing camera. Fueled by a 3000mAh battery, the phone measures 147.1×73.8×8.3 mm and weighs 156 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS. The 5C is also poised to deliver high quality RF performance. It features automatic band switching technology which is optimized for superior network performance.

The design of the phone is reminiscent of the Honor 5X. It features brushed metal design on the rear and comes with a fingerprint sensor that is said to unlock the device in 0.5 seconds.

The Honor 5C is priced at Rs. 10,999 and will be available to buy exclusively from Flipkart and Honor’s official e-store, HiHonor.com. First flash sale will take place on 30th June, 2016 while registrations will start from 22nd June at 2:00PM.
