The new Honor 8 Pro is priced at Rs 29,999. It will be exclusively available via Amazon.in. The first sale is exclusive to Amazon Prime members. It starts at 6pm IST on July 10. While the open sales start from July 13.

Amazon is offering 15 percent cash back to Prime subscribers if they use HDFC Bank credit and debit cards. During the open sale, customers will get Vodafone 45GB over five months offer along with no-cost EMI options.

The new handset is essentially a better version of the Honor V9, which was launched in China earlier this year. It features a dual-camera setup on the back with two 12-megapixel sensors. Camera features include 4K video recording at 30 frames per second. There is also an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling.

The Honor 8 Pro features a 5.7-inch display with 2K resolution and a pixel density of 515ppi. The Android (7.0 Nougat) smartphone is powered by company’s in-house 2.4GHz Kirin 960 octa-core processor. The internal storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. It is backed by a 4000mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. It offers up to 2 days of continuous usage with the Smart Power mode.

The Honor 8 Pro sports an all metal body with rounded corners. It measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97mm and weighs 184 grams. Connectivity options include Cat.6 LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio port, and a USB Type-C port. The Honor handset also sports a circular fingerprint sensor on the back.

Additionally, the Honor 8 Pro comes with a GoPro Quik app. The video and photo editing software brings creative options to users. The smartphone’s photo gallery uses a new feature called ‘Highlights’, which automatically selects photos/videos. The new Quik app creates a video using these pics/videos synchronized to the beat of the selected music. You can also add additional filters, transitions, effects, etc.
