The new smartphone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) processor along with 2GB RAM. The 16GB/ 32GB internal storage can be further expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot (up to 512GB). It is backed by a 3,020mAh battery.
In terms of optics, the Honor 8S sports a 13-megapixel auto-focus camera (f/1.8 aperture) on the back. For selfies and video calling, it sports a 5-megapixel fixed-focus front camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Honor 8S runs Android 9 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.0 on top. It supports Face Unlock feature, Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a Micro-USB port.
The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 5.71-inch display with HD+ (720 x 1520 pixels) resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, and an 84.6 percent screen-to-body ratio. It measures 147.13 x 70.78 x 8.45mm and weighs 146 grams.
The Honor 8S comes in three color options – Black, Blue, and Gold. The handset also features a dewdrop-shaped display notch and a dual-texture body.
On the other hand, the Huawei Y5 2019 features a faux-leather finish. It uses an anti-fingerprint, wear-resistant, and anti-dirty material. The Huawei handset will be available in four color options – Modern Black, Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Amber Brown
