HTC One E9st With 1.5GHz Octa-Core CPU, 5.5-Inch HD Display, Spotted On TENAA

HTC is gearing up for the launch of a new variant of its One E9+ smartphone dubbed the HTC One E9st. The new model is likely to come with scaled down specs as compared to its predecessor. The handset has been spotted on Chinese certification website revealing specifications and images.

As per the listing, the One E9st will be powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, it will feature a 5.5-inch HD display with 1280×720 pixels resolution. There will be 16GB of inbuilt storage on board (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). On camera front, it will sport a 13 mega pixel rear camera and an UltraPixel front facing camera. The handset will measure 158.7×79.7×7.64mm, weigh 165 grams and will feature dual frontal speakers.

The predecessor HTC One E9+ on the other hand, was launched in India last week for Rs. 36,790. Specifications of the handset include 2.0 GHz octa-core helio X10 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, Android 5.0 OS with HTC Sense 7, 5.5 inch Quad-HD display, 16 GB inbuilt memory (expandable via microSD card), 20 mega pixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, Ultrapixel front camera and a 2800mAh battery. It measures 156.5×76.5×7.49mm and weighs 149 grams.

Price and Availability

There is no word on pricing and availability of the handset however, its appearance on TENAA website makes us believe that it could launch anytime soon.
